The Sokode-Gborgame – Civic Centre acts as the main arterial leading the urban network to the Ho city. The potential growth of the Ho municipality necessitated the dualization of the Sokode, Gborgame – Civic Centre corridor in the Ho municipality.
This is in line with the Department’s quest to reduce travel time and improve mobility.
To improve mobility and travel time and accommodate the envisaged high traffic volume within the Ho municipality.
The project involves the construction of 10.5km dual carriageway with asphaltic concrete surfacing, U-drain/culvert works, walkways, median and some road appurtenances.

About 91% rate of physical progress has been achieved by the Contractor as at 30th June 2023
The project involves the dualization of an unpaved corridor passing through some settlement areas acting as a by-pass to the Ho city. The project commences at Sokode Etoe and terminates at the Ho Technical University entrance measuring 5.2km.
Also, there will be upgrading of University of Health and Allied Sciences internal roads measuring 5.3km. This when complete will improve access to UHAS campus and travel options in the Ho municipality.
To improve mobility and travel time and accommodate the envisaged high traffic volume within the Ho municipality and improve riding quality of the road network in the University of Health and Allied Sciences.
